Alimentaria will take place in Gran Vía of Fira de Barcelona in March 2024
Alimentaria is the leading food, beverage and gastronomy show in Spain and one of the benchmarks in the industry in Europe. In the 2022 edition, Alimentaria and Hostelco, the largest trade fair in the restaurant and hotel equipment industry, merged to take the event beyond. Nearly 3.000 companies from 57 countries exhibited, in addition to 100.000 visitors from 150 countries.

In addition, the activities were attended by 51 chefs with 35 accumulated Michelin stars and 13,000 business meetings. Its pavilions accomodates spaces dedicated to different products and aimed at different market segments such as Mediterranean Foods, Lands Of Spain, Intercarn, Interlact or Restaurama. It is estimated that the economic impact of Alimentaria 2022 on Barcelona was 180 million euros.

The exhibition had thematic areas such as The Organic Market & Trends, a space within Alimentaria reserved for the promotion and launch of certified organic products. Also with Startups, in which the union of the two events chose a group of start-ups and innovative companies to participate in their most disruptive exhibition areas
It is worth mentioning PREMIUM Alimentaria, where 12 select grand cuisine firms met to present products of extreme quality. On the other hand, The Olive Oil Bar was an exclusive exhibition of Extra Virgin Olive Oils with self-guided tasting.
Exporting companies such as KraftHeinz Food Service, Dehesa Las Cumbres, Aceites Abril, Gallina Blanca or Danone were some of the participants in the last edition of Alimentaria. The event was attended by renowned chefs such as Carme Ruscalleda, Pepe Rodríguez and Ferrán Adriá.
